whoot. is built for the teams who live on voice — traders, operations centres, broadcast crews, emergency response units. But the people they need to talk to don't always have the app. A counterparty on an external dealing desk. A contractor in the field. A vendor calling in for a bridge. You need them in the room, and you need it to be as simple as dialling a number.
That's what Dial-In Rooms delivers. Assign a real phone number — UK geographic, national, or toll-free — to any room in your workspace. When someone dials it, they're bridged straight into the voice room alongside everyone else. No app to download, no account to create, no link to click. Just a standard phone call that lands them in your room.
You stay in control of who gets in. Choose whether the number is open to anyone, protected by a PIN, or restricted to a pre-approved caller list. Set limits on how many people can be on at once and how long a call can run. Restrict callers by dialling prefix if you only want calls from specific regions. Every inbound session is logged with full caller identity, so your compliance and operations teams always have a complete picture.
Security is not an afterthought. All voice — including inbound PSTN calls — is encrypted in transit. Every request from the phone network is cryptographically verified before it gets anywhere near your workspace. PIN entry is rate-limited and locked out after repeated failures, so brute-force attempts go nowhere. Inbound minutes flow through your existing PSTN allowance, and every number is provisioned and managed entirely from the operator dashboard.
One number. One dial. Any phone, straight into your room.
Dial-In Rooms are designed to be as open or as locked-down as your use case demands — but secure by default in every configuration. All voice is encrypted in transit. Every inbound request is verified before it reaches your workspace. PINs are protected against brute-force. Caller identity is captured and retained on every session. And your admin team controls everything from one place, without needing access to any third-party systems.
