The challenge

Legacy voice

Legacy voice is holding you back.

Traditional trading turrets cost a fortune, require dedicated infrastructure, and cannot support hybrid work. Consumer apps like Zoom and Teams were not built for compliance-grade voice at trading-floor speed.

Built for

Finance

Every feature designed for the speed, security and compliance requirements of financial services.

Regulatory compliance
Full voice recording with tamper-proof retention, speaker identification and audit trails. Built to meet MiFID II, Dodd-Frank and FCA recording requirements.
Enterprise-grade security
SAML SSO, enforced MFA, encryption in transit and at rest, and 50+ granular RBAC permissions.
Trading floor speed
<150ms end-to-end latency means traders and brokers communicate in real time. No delay, no dropped words.
PSTN integration
Dial clients and counterparties directly into voice rooms. External participants join by phone; no app required.
Recorded and searchable
Every conversation recorded, transcribed and indexed. Search by keyword, speaker or date. Retrieve any call in seconds for compliance reviews.
Deal rooms
Private, access-controlled rooms for deal teams. Bring together bankers, lawyers and analysts in secure, persistent voice rooms.

Latency methodology. Marketing figures reference end-to-end (mouth-to-ear) latency under typical intra-region network conditions, measured against the ITU-T G.114 recommendation of <150ms one-way for “user satisfaction not noticeably affected.” Server-side processing, first RTP packet ingress to first RTP packet egress at whoot.’s SFU, is <20ms. End-to-end latency depends on client device, codec packetisation (Opus ptime 20ms), jitter-buffer depth and last-mile network conditions; typical intra-region mouth-to-ear is 90–120ms.

Compliance

Regulators

Compliance is not an afterthought.

Financial regulators require voice recording, retention and retrieval. whoot. was built with these requirements from day one, not bolted on later.

Compliance
  • Tamper-proof recording with configurable retention periods
  • Speaker identification and attribution on every recording
  • Immutable audit logs: who joined, who spoke, when
  • Role-based access with separation of duties
  • SAML SSO with enforced multi-factor authentication
  • Data residency options for regulated jurisdictions
  • Export-ready recordings for regulatory requests
  • Automated compliance reporting and dashboards

Where it's used

How financial teams use whoot.

The trading floor
Traders communicate with brokers and risk managers in real time through always-on rooms. Sub-150ms end-to-end latency. Every word recorded for compliance.
The deal room
Private, access-controlled rooms for M&A teams, IPO workstreams and sensitive transactions. Bankers, lawyers and advisers together, with full audit trails.
The advisory team
Wealth managers and relationship managers stay connected to their teams. Quick questions answered in seconds, not hours. Client call recordings searchable by keyword.
The risk committee
When markets move, the risk team needs instant coordination. Persistent rooms mean the team is always one push-to-talk away from a coordinated response.
