Channels are the foundation of whoot. — persistent voice rooms that stay open 24/7, ready for your team to join and leave at will.
Unlike scheduled video calls, whoot. channels are always open. Think of them as rooms in a physical office — the engineering room, the standup room, the break room. People walk in, talk, and walk out. No calendar invite required.
Each channel operates independently with its own settings, members, and add-on configuration. You can have as many channels as your team needs.
To create a new channel, navigate to your dashboard and click New Channel. You'll need to provide:

Every channel includes a built-in text chat. Use it to share links, paste code snippets, or have a side conversation without interrupting the voice discussion. Messages are persistent — they stay in the channel for anyone to read later.
There is no limit on the number of channels you can create. Your plan includes unlimited channel access with recording, transcription, and dial-out available on every channel. Usage of transcription and dial-out counts towards your team's pooled allowances.
